200 Fans!

Thank you so much!

Back to when I created this account with the purpose of merely playing videogames and consuming art, I didn't have in mind the idea of posting my very own drawings into the website. Which makes having hit this milestone, now that I've been here for around 4 years and uploading a good amount of artworks, really special to me.

I can't really put my feelings into words at this moment, but, here is a photo I took back in spring of 2022 with two sparrows. Hope you may enjoy it! :)

@Charlie57913 You are welcome^^

p.s. I read the message you posted at the bottom of the site frontpage, and yes, I know there was a huge blackout across the Iberian peninsula, even Portugal and France too were affected. I hope it wasn't anything malicious in intent even though I don't completely rule out.

I don't really know why that happened, but it's clear whatever caused the incident, wasn't normal. The moment it took place, 12:30 a.m., I was lucky to be at home with all my family together, we had lost the electricity; therefore we had our acess to water and to wifi cut.

My first thought was to use mobile data and check if the area I live on had any problem, but none of our phones worked. We couldn't even make phone calls. That's when we started to freak out, having no communication with the exterior, until we decided to check the radio. Listening to it we found out the fact it was like that in all the country.

The main theories, in that moment, of what was behind the blackout and failure of mobile data, were the ones of a cyber attack or a fire that took place in south of France. And we were told that normality could take inbetween 6-10 hours to come back.

We spend most of the time right next to the radio until around 5:20 p.m. or so, when our power finally came back, being lucky of living at the north of the country. If I'm not wrong the government intention, as they had declared, was to fix the situation from the borders to the center, until reaching the capital.

I've heard that now, as I'm writing this, there's still afected areas. Only 90% of the nation recovered the electricity we are used to.

The government tried explaining the whole ordeal as being caused by a weird metherological sucess, but experts say otherwise, which seems to point to coverage from authorities. The media outlets give either different explainations or the same words delivered by the government, but no one is actually sure.

But, most important and extremely preocupaying is the fact that, by the way the president talked in the conference he gave yesterday, it seems like this will not be the last time something as such happens.

Now everybody is trying their best to try to adapt to an older life-style, a less technology based one. Like carrying money, without depending on it's digital counterpart, but there's so many things that we cannot crontol that require energy.

There's people that need machines to even breathe and/or similar, the crisis the hospitals had was horrible. Not to speak about the metro, air centers or general car traffic which were severely affected, with many stuck on roads without gasoil, as gas stations also do need power. Plus those poor souls stuck for hours inside of elevators and garages, elderly individuals alone and scared at their home...

I'm sorry if this is a far too long reply, but this was a day that, as I told my family, future kids will most likely have to study due to the repercusions and changes this will bring.

Thank you so much for your kind words, wish you a good day.

Update: There's at least 5 official deaths, caused by this crisis. (R.I.P.)

Family of 3, who while trying to heat themselves died by carbon dioxide poisoning. (Ourense)

Woman, died in a fire believed to be caused by a candle. (Valencia)

Another woman, who needed oxygen proportionated by a machine. (Madrid)
